    Default Days and Months in Pashtu.

    I know this crops up time and time again but I need to show a friend. Could some one please tell me what are the words used for Days and Months in Pashtu please? I know there will be regional variations bt that does not matter. Although do tell me if its "real" Pashtu or just used by Pashtuns. Do specify where the words are used and if it is proper Pashtu. Dera Manana!

    We use had/har for June, Pashakal for monsoon which is a season not a month, Badro for august.

    The months are not regional but standard Pashto months, however, it is not used in Pashtoonkhwa (only in Afghanistan). In Pashtoonkhwa and Balochistan they use the christian calendar (jan, feb etc).

    The days are pretty much standard as well (not regional). However, they are only used in Afghanistan - not very common though because we still use the persian words (shanbay, yak shanbay etc).

    I think this is regional and only/mostly used in Koza Pukhtunkhwa. Not many ppl will know these in Bara Pukhtunkhwa. The ones Ghorzang posted are meant to be standard Pashto ones, but probably not used in practice that much.

    Wah! I always wondered what the names of the months were in Pashto.
    But the days, they are:

    Saturday = Khaali
    Sunday = Itbar (Itwar)
    Monday = Gul
    Tuesday = Naha
    Wednesday = Shoro
    Thursday = Ziarat
    Friday = Juma

    No?
