What you simply defy in terms of the facts and truth is that the Taliban are themselves ethnically Pakhtuns, while you are not a Taliban but are a Pakhtun, ethnically speaking.

My drift for you is you have to help the good Pakhtuns against the bad (Taliban) Pakhtuns by getting over there and helping the villages who are putting up self defense forces to try to chase the Taliban, and al Qaida, out of their zones for good and for ever.

Otherwise, you are very adroitly writing esoterically from afar and not practically and pragmatically helping the people, the good Pakthuns, in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

As for being negative toward Paksitan as a nation and it's government and always and forever blaming past history, some of which is true, some of which is exaggerated negativism, the good Pakhtuns over there have to get along and in many cases do get along with the total government and military of Paksitan, which contains many very fine and noble, patriotic Pakhtuns in the Pak Army and national and local governance systems.

The degree of sepratism you wish for goes into the arena of rascism and is unacceptable, even though your language is polite in saying so.

We do not wish to be isolated nor do we have hate others just because of their race. We want to decide our political alliances on the basis of our national interests as Pashtuns and on the will of people. Hence we oppose the previous arrangements of colonial powers (Pakistan). We shall enter into alliance with other peoples and even states as dictated by our interests but at no time shall we accept an arrangement that holds us subservient and exploited.

The dilemma of what comes next in Afghanistan is a deafening silence out of Washington, with Obama's just appointed General McCrystal having made his required and Presidentially requested recommendations only to fall into a cat fight between pro and anti-Afghan war new staff inside the Obama White House.

President Obama as a trained attorney likes to take time to marshal his facts, but in this case, he is out of his depth and asked McCrystal to do just that, now doesn't appear to know what to do with this "hot potatoe" very long policy paper the good General has written.
