Deobandis follow the fiqh of Abu Hanifa and the Aqidah of Abu Mansur Maturidi.Jihād fī Sabīlil-Lāh: Doing Jihād (Striving for the good, in the name of God) is one of the basic tenet of Deobandis.

I dont consider all deobandis as Extremists. Moderate Deobandis and not very ritualistic extremist Brelvis can be considered as Ideal Muslims. Panjpiris are extremsit deobandis.

In February 2008, an "Anti-terrorism Conference" organized by the seminary Darul Uloom in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh, denounced all forms of terrorism, saying "Islam prohibits killing of innocent people," and "Islam sternly condemns all kinds of oppression, violence and terrorism." The conference also denounced widespread attempts to blame religious Muslims for terrorist incidents and many Muslim clerics declare terrorism as a concept that is antithetical to Islam.

Deobandis believe in Tasawwuf (Sufism), Doing Taqleed (following one Imam)
,Tawassul, which the salafis deem to be shirk (idolatry).

After introducing the main extremsit muslim groups of Wahabis, Salafis, Ahle hadith , Panjpeeris , Extremist Deobandis now I would like to introduce some other relatively moderate groups like Tableeghis, Shias, Jumat e IslamI/Akhwanul muslimeen for a general discussion and for pondering over how we can save our selves from the menace of Extremsit islam.

Memebrs are requested to add further their knowledge of these groups and to give their worthy comments.

An extremist is the one who justifies the "use of force" to spread his/her religous belief. Most often they do not tolerate opposition to their belief.

I am not talking about the people. I am talking about the state.
