In the KW frontpage, It was mentioned that a short text of Pashto dating to 500 BCE was found in Baghistan, Iran. This is the first time I've heard this. Can any one shed some more light on this?

I think I have mentioned those words as well somewhere in this forum. Anyway, there is a book "Pukhto, paroon, nan aw sabah", complete history is written in that book.

I think it is Bahistan not Baghistan.

Yes, the text is inscribed on a stone and historians have tried to interpret it. Late Abdul Hai Habibi had concluded it is old Pashto.
