Khanjee wror thanks for not publishing the picture. Actually recently some boys have been punished for mis-using the cell-phone camera in USA. After that I realized how technology can be dangerous if not used correctly.
Anyways, Khanjee wror this is a big debate.
Education is not just masters wroray. Education is a perception towards different things, which may not come with Masters or Phds. Another thing is "freedom of choice." Many women after hard experiences decide to take revenge from the world by using the assets they have.

Wrong one way or exactly the other way round. This needs to debated if they are taking revenge or they are being foolishly used.

Exactly Dawezay wror as I said earlier in these discussions there is no "right" or "wrong". You are absolutely right in debating both these issues. I would say some adopt this profession as a "rebel", some "by choice", and some are victims of circumstances.
Many girls fall into these professions as victims of circumstances. Do you know that famous actress Neelma Hassan; a very fine actress with long hair, and excellent acting skills. She was once linked with Waseem Akram (cricketer) too. She lives in Canada with her three kids. She is a nice mother and wife. Her main reason was to earn for her mother and siblings, since her father died.

Well, makes one think about the "collective personality" of women. I feel like women have contributed a lot to their own predicament becuase of their emotionalism. And, acting is not bad as long it does not result in cheap glamourism. But, then..... they enjoy glamour a lot, don't they?

Dawezay wror:
U see PTV has changed a lot in the past 10 years now. Neelma Hassan worked in the late eightys, when we had actresses like Shahnaz Shaikh, Marina Khan.
Nowadays media is glamorized a lot.
If you remember that play "tanhaiyaan". U will hardly see extra make up on Shahnaz 's or Marina's faces, yet left such strong impressions on people's hearts through their natural and intense acting skills.
Actresses like Khalida Riyaasat, Uzma Gillani, Roohi Bano, Sahira Kazmi, Samina Ahmed are our assets. Recently I was watching one play written by Ashfaq Ahmed, and I was amazed to see their acting. All the four actresses were dressed up in long chaddars, but the message was so powerful.
Now u see Dawezay wror there are two kinds of popularities.
One is when people like something based on the "content and strength of the subject." and the other is when u direct/produce something in such a way which u think, will attract people's attention like "vulgar item songs in movies", cheap dialogues, and glamor.

Well, I really don't know the names you have mentioned....they really aren't my asset..thanks God, PTV was baned long ago in my house! And, the issue is not about Paki or PTV women...it is about women generally.

By saying our assets I meant professionally such fine actresses without acting academies in our countries should be admired. Dawezay wror and I were not fighting at all. I enjoy reading his posts.
I think by now you all must understand that Mrs. Lyla never derogates a woman. When I was in college here, I felt at every step that Americans have written books on every subject, on all kinds of women, which makes learning about them so interesting.
For men, Uzma Gillani might not be an asset. But I still wonder how in 1963 (I believe PTV's first year) she decides to take such a bold step. What she had gone through at that time. She managed motherhood and her profession very well.
For many Benazir Bhutto might be bla, bla, bla. But I look at other angles of her personality, and would like to learn from her life too. Again people make different choices in life due to their circumstances. I would prefer to meet woman directors rather than men. When Sangeeta came to America, people around you would make fun of her, but I respect her for who she is. She has managed to make her place in a male dominated film industry. Though I have never watched her single movie.
So, my views are quite different. If you make fun of it, criticize it, or mock it. I won't mind because that is who I am.

I am just a bit worried about men. ;) lol
For men, Uzma Gillani might not be an asset.
Pinch...ouch...! Lyla, I did not talk from the men's point of view. She might be a great actress but tha has got nothing to do with her becoming my asset kana.
So, my views are quite different. If you make fun of it, criticize it, or mock it. I won't mind because that is who I am.
Now seriously, we respect you and your views.
