Don’t you think that most people nowadays are paying closer attention to their health than ever before? Eating high protein, low carb diets exercising on a regular basis, gym memberships are at their highest ever. Cholesterol levels are on the check list of most people. Even routine doctor check ups and visits are getting more media attention. It is interesting too I noticed, that one of our most valued, most essential body parts, the one we are so very dependent on . … our eyes are often neglected. Just thought I would ask you …….when was your last eye exam?

Many of us don’t see an eye professional . . . (it seems to be part of our nature) to wait until we start having vision problems. Thing is, dilated eye exams on a regular basis can help in alerting doctors with approaching health concerns. Diseases such as diabetes are often caught first because of an eye exam and that’s only the beginning. Dilated eye exams can help detect glaucoma, macular degeneration as we age, the start of cataracts and other eye problems. So for those who cannot remember when . . . . look at this as a slight nudge to remind you.

You are very right, Breshna. Most of us will only start caring once the problem has occured. I had my eyes tested about 4 years ago when I was appearing in some exam...I had to do it because it was a compulsion. Even now that I have access to free eye check-up I hardly feel being motivated to go for it (*too bad*). However, now I am planning to take an appointment to check my eyes, thanks for reminding us!:icon_biggrin:

I had my eyes tested, when I was taking my license test, several years ago. Thanks for reminding us, Breshna.
